Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: The domestic equity indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex ended higher, snapping a two-day losing streak. Nifty 50 closed at 19,753.8, gaining 107 points while Sensex settled 66,527, over 360 points higher. The broader markets closed in the green, with Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 added 0.97% and 0.88% respectively. Nifty Auto, Nifty IT, Nifty Metal and Nifty Oil & Gas all added over 1% in trade on Monday. Nifty FMCG and Nifty Healthcare were the only losers.

Shares of NTPC on Monday climbed 3% to touch its 52-week high level at Rs 217.45 after the company posted over 23% rise in consolidated net profit in the April-June quarter of 2023-24.
13:13 (IST) 31 Jul 2023 LIC MF, IDBI MF merger
LIC Mutual Fund has announced the successful completion of the takeover of schemes of IDBI Mutual Fund (IDBI MF). After completion of the merger, out of 20 schemes of IDBI MF, 10 schemes will be merged with similar schemes of LIC MF and the remaining 10 will be taken over by LIC MF on standalone basis. LIC MF had an AUM of Rs 18,400 crore and IDBI MF had Rs 3,650 crore as of June 30, 2023.

Gold rate is trading lower on Monday, while the silver rate is down 0.24%. On Multi Commodity Exchange, gold August futures were trading at Rs 59,660 per 10 grams, down Rs 125 or 0.21%. Silver July futures were trading lower by Rs 178 at Rs 73,881 per kg on MCX.

Piramal Enterprises share price sinks over 7.6% to Rs 991.55 apiece as the company’s profits decline. Additionally, the firm announced a buyback on Friday. The company will buy back 1.4 crore shares, or 5.87% of the equity share capital, for Rs 1,750 crore at Rs 1,250 per share.
