Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first two Amrit Bharat Express trains from the holy town of ‘Ayodhya’ today (December 30). According to the railway authorities, these trains boast cutting-edge technology, ensuring a smooth and jerk-free journey for passengers throughout the trip.

The newly introduced ‘jerk-free’ express trains are scheduled to operate on two routes—Darbhanga in Bihar to Anand Vihar in Delhi via Ayodhya, as well as from Malda Town in West Bengal to Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminus in Bengaluru. Passengers on these routes can expect a smoother and more comfortable travel experience due to the advanced technology implemented in these trains.

Interesting facts about Amrit Bharat Express trains

Amrit Bharat Express is a new class of superfast passenger trains featuring innovative “push-pull” technology.

The push-pull system enhances operational safety by allowing the train to be operated from either end, eliminating the need for turning the locomotive at the journey’s end.

Amrit Bharat Express trains will feature non-air-conditioned coaches.

These trains aim to enhance the travel experience for passengers, offering attractive seat designs, improved luggage racks, and convenient amenities like mobile charging points with suitable holders.

The Amrit Bharat Express will be equipped with modern features such as LED lights, CCTVs, a public information system, and more.

These trains are equipped with various features, including horizontal sliding windows, dust-sealed wider gangways, an aerosol-based fire suppression system in toilets and electrical cubicles, an emergency disaster management light, floor guide fluorescent strips, and a bench-type design for LWS coaches.

Additionally, the train incorporates a segregation of reserved and unreserved coaches with sliding doors, ensuring an enhanced and secure travel experience for all passengers.

In addition to this,PM Modi also virtually inaugurated six new Vande Bharat Express trains on Saturday from Ayodhya. The six new routes include Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express, Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express, Coimbatore-Bangalore Cantt Vande Bharat Express, Mangalore-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express, Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express, and Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat Express.
