Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has initiated the Shiv Sena’s Lok Sabha campaign with the announcement of the ‘Shivsankalp Abhiyaan,’ a tour covering all 48 constituencies in the state.
Shinde addressed party workers via video conferencing on Thursday, highlighting the need to gear up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled for the first half of 2024.
During the virtual meeting, Shinde instructed party members to actively support candidates from the ruling alliance, ‘Mahayuti,’ comprising the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Ajit Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party. The Chief Minister outlined the details of the campaign, set to commence on January 6 from the Yavatmal-Washim constituency.
The ‘Shivsankalp Abhiyaan’ is scheduled to span the next month, with Shinde planning visits to 15 constituencies across various regions of the state. The campaign aims to mobilise support and strengthen the party’s position in the lead-up to the lok sabha polls.
