Aviation Sector’s Post-Pandemic Recovery

This achievement coincides with the robust recovery of the country’s civil aviation sector post the coronavirus pandemic. Major operators like Air India and Indigo placing substantial orders for new aircraft further underscore the industry’s resurgence.

Regulatory Commitment to Safety and Compliance

The surge in licence issuances is a testament to the DGCA’s unwavering commitment to maintaining rigorous safety standards and ensuring compliance, meeting the increased operational demands in the aviation sector.

New Approval for Helicopter Flying Training

In response to the demand from small businesses and helicopter operators, the DGCA has approved a new Helicopter Flying Training Organisation. This development allows aspirants to undergo training and obtain commercial licences for helicopters, providing a boost to the helicopter industry engaged in regional connectivity services, pilgrimage, air ambulance, and more.

Strengthening Helicopter Industry

With the establishment of the Helicopter Flying Training Organisation, the helicopter industry, particularly involved in regional connectivity services, pilgrimage, and air ambulance operations, is expected to witness an enhancement in crew strength, diversifying from the existing pool of ex-military pilots.
