The OnePlus 10T has been a long time coming. It’s the first T-series phone from the house of OnePlus since the OnePlus 8T. As is usually the case with these phones, the 10T, also, gets you turbo-charged hardware including Qualcomm’s brand-new Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor. Technically, it’s the fastest phone that OnePlus makes at the time of writing. We’re testing the OnePlus 10T at length and while we work on our full review, here’s a quick hands-on and first impressions of OnePlus’s latest. (Photo credit: Saurabh Singh/Financial Express)

The OnePlus 10T would remind you of the OnePlus 10 Pro in many ways. But there are some differences. The 10T has a glass back and outer frame made of plastic. The Jade Green version we have for review is a bit glossy. The phone also comes in Moonstone Black which has a shimmery, almost sandstone-like finish. The phone weighs quite a bit at about 203.5g and measures 8.8mm. It is slightly heavier and thicker than the OnePlus 10 Pro. There is no alert slider which, we can’t help but point out, shouldn’t have been the case. But it is what it is. (Photo credit: Saurabh Singh/Financial Express)

The OnePlus 10T has more or less the same display stats, which is to say, there’s not a lot to complain here. You get a 6.7-inch flat 120Hz AMOLED screen with a 1080p resolution, HDR10+ support, centrally placed hole punch cut-out and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Biometrics are handled by an in-display fingerprint reader. This is fast and reliable. (Photo credit: Saurabh Singh/Financial Express)

Under the hood, the 10T has Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor. This makes it the most powerful phone in OnePlus’s current line-up. You get up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS3.1 storage. This is non-expandable. The other headlining bit about the 10T is that, just like the OnePlus 10R, it also supports whopping fast 150W charging. You get a 4,800mAh battery in this phone. Performance is naturally great and charging is as fast as it gets. Battery life, too, is solid. But more on all this in our full review. (Photo credit: Saurabh Singh/Financial Express)

The OnePlus 10T runs OxygenOS 12.1 based on Android 12 out-of-the-box. OxygenOS 13 is coming later this year, OnePlus has confirmed, but there is no word on the exact timeline. (Photo credit: Saurabh Singh/Financial Express)

The 10T has a triple camera setup on the rear with a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor with optically stabilised lens, 8MP ultrawide, and another 2MP macro shooter, same as the OnePlus 10R. It is capable of up to 4K video recording (@60fps). On the front, the 10T has a 16MP camera. It tops out at 1080p @30fps. (Photo credit: Saurabh Singh/Financial Express)

The OnePlus 10T price in India starts at Rs 49,999 for a version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will set you back by Rs 54,999. OnePlus also offers the 10T with 16GB of RAM and 256GB storage for Rs 59,999. The 10T’s main selling point, obviously, is its core hardware and fast performance is easily its biggest USP. There is some competition with the iQOO 9T around but the 10T may have its work cut out a bit due to brand awareness and recall. Watch this space for our full review of the OnePlus 10T dropping soon.
